What should Cross-border sellers do?
The sellers of cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Walmart, Amazon, Temu and Shein must be prepared:
Product name requirements
As a cross-border seller, be sure to declare all goods in full and detail, avoiding broad or vague descriptions. This will not only improve the efficiency of customs clearance but also reduce delays or fines caused by inaccurate declarations.
Accurate declaration
We must ensure that the declaration information is accurate and consistent with the actual goods, and it is strictly prohibited to underreport or misreport. False declarations can lead to serious legal and financial consequences.
Principles
The declaration of product names shall follow the following three principles:
- Material: the main material of the goods.
- Purpose: the main purpose of use of the goods.
- Specific product name: detailed and specific product name.
Ensure that the description is clear and detailed so that customs can quickly and accurately identify the goods, thus speeding up customs clearance.
With accurate and detailed declarations, you can ensure that your goods go through customs smoothly and avoid unnecessary trouble and costs.
We will also continue to pay attention to changes in US customs clearance policies.
Compliance declaration is the only way for the long-term development of cross-border clearance.
