Vietnam to further develop ports to boost exports: Will benefit Vietnam’s shipping 

In Vietnam, the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC), Geleximco Group, and the International Transportation and Trading Corporation (ITC) invest in the construction of the Balia Cargo Port in southern Vietnam. 

The investment will reach VND50.82 trillion ($2 billion). The first phase of construction is currently underway and is slated for completion by 2030. 

It will feature two terminals capable of accommodating 250,000 DWT ships on 351 hectares of land.

Vietnamese officials have approved the project plans, and the Ministry of Finance requires investors to demonstrate their financial capacity.
