Return and Repair: A One-Stop Solution for Reverse Logistics Operational Challenges

Return and Repair: A One-Stop Solution for Reverse Logistics Operational Challenges

In the course of international trade, it is inevitable to encounter various reasons for the need to return and repair exported goods.

The demand for return and repair services is increasing. Besides direct returns, there is a situation where goods need to be re-exported after being returned for repair, commonly known as return and repair, with customs declarations generally processed as imports for repair.

What is the Return and Repair Process?

STEP 1: Confirm Return Information

Before deciding to return goods, confirm the detailed information of the actual returns, including quantity, name of goods, number of pieces, weight, and volume. We welcome you to choose our return and repair services to assist you in confirming the specifics of the returned goods, arranging the earliest shipping schedule, and notifying the relevant personnel.

STEP 2: Prepare Return Customs Clearance Documents

Based on the return customs clearance documents you provide, Yingli International Logistics will prepare the relevant return invoices, packing lists, and customs declaration forms.

Additionally, you need to provide the original export customs declaration documents and bill of lading, and confirm the return bill of lading.

STEP 3: Prepare the Return Agreement and Relevant Proofs

When the goods are near the port, prepare the return agreement (original in both Chinese and English), a statement of the return situation (in duplicate with pictures, correspondence, etc.), and proof of quality issues (if the quality issues are not visible, a test report is required).

STEP 4: Customs Confirmation and Tax Processing

Customs needs to confirm that the goods are returned due to quality issues and process them accordingly.

Additionally, provide an invoice from the domestic factory to customs to prove that no tax refund was received or that the tax refund has been repaid as required. After paying the duties, obtain the delivery order.

If the submitted materials prove that the exported goods are returned due to quality issues and are re-imported in their original state within one year, they can be released tax-free.

STEP 5: Pick Up Goods

After picking up the goods, store them in a bonded warehouse and notify the factory to pick up the goods with the delivery order.
